Florens Piano Project is a title uniting several project activities. . Florens Piano School - piano lessons for children andadults, Florens Piano Project - project with the aim of promoting piano concert appearances and Florens Arts Management Project - reserach and implementation of successfulmanaging methods upon arts management in the specific conditions of the Republic of Croatia. The success of the Florens Arts Management Projecta is also reflected in the success of Florens Piano School and Florens Piano Project. Beside managing tools and methods, hefactors determining the success are the economic enviroment, citizens' standard (purchasing power), the period of time (within the year) and the general awareness of the importance to care and nurture this particular part of arts and the awareness of the beauty of classical music.
New initiative
Organizational skills, computer skills, constant acquiring of new knowledge, flexibility, dedication and excellent command of 4 foreign languages has enabled Žanina to work in a variety of businesses. After a number of full-time jobs more or less linked to music and arts which earn(ed) her a living, Žanina has launched a piano school project named 'FLORENS PIANO SCHOOL', honouring her grandmother Cvetanka (rough translation of the name would be Florabella, Florence or alike, whereas 'florens' in Latin stands for 'flourishing, prosperous') in January 2006.
Piano lessons for children and adults
The piano school project is still in its market research phase. The number of students is growing steadily. The Florens Piano School offers piano education to children and adults, regardless of their musical background
It aims to promote the benefits of learning and playing piano as a hobby. The method used is individual approach, maximum creativity in explaining, active involvment of the pupil in lessons. The lessons unite
- basics of music theory,
- learning to read and write, and understand the musical notation
- piano playing techniques
- basics of interpretation of musical pieces
- basics of music history
- basics of the piano mechanism and how it functions
The lessons gradually build up the pupil's knowledge, based onteh tradition of the Russian, Bulgarian and Zagreb Piano teaching.
Piano playing develops:
- concentration,
- fine movements of the hand and fingers,
- instigates the development and activity of both brains halfs
- enables expression of emotions
- develops the ability of combining and combinational thinking
- introduces the pupil to the vast number of composers and their musical works
- enriches the general knowledge of the pupil
- brings in new knowledge and active involvment with arts
- brings joy and spirit
the lessons are held in the musical studio in the very center of Zagreb, in the premises of the Association of Bulgarians. Thanks to the kindness of the Association, the pupils have on their disposal a pleasant and nicelydecorated venue for their art activity. Florens Piano School aims to arrange for its own premises eventually.
